Passages from a eulogy given by Edward Ryan's Father:

Edward had an unbounded faith in his God, in his family, in his country and in himself. It is his soul and spirit that has led us from the Good Friday and our sorrows to the eternal promise of Resurrection. His overwhelming focus however was on his family, his beloved Diane, his wonderful children Eddie, Megan, Joey and Kelly. Ed just could not get home fast enough to be with them. They were his life. On weekend their trips to Cape May, Montauk, Arthur Ave. and of course pizza under the Brooklyn Bridge and then Chinatown. Always on the move enjoying life to the fullest.

Yet he still found plenty of time for his sister Trish, his brothers Bill, Paul and Rob and his grandparents Gertie and Ed Keller and Gertrude and Bill Ryan. His mother-in-law Mildred and his father-in-law Emil, who told me he loved him as a son and became one of his best friends, and of course his mother Pat and myself.

We were all so unrestrainedly proud of him and his many accomplishments. But Pat and I were most proud of him when we would burst on the scene of our many family get togethers with Diane and the kids in tow as a family unit- infecting all with his ever present smile and a good natured quip, a quick sample of food, and then making us all feel better because he was there.
