I also did not know Joseph p. kellett. On september 11th 2002 My Highschool, Cherry Hill Highschool West (located in Cherry Hill New jersey) held a memorial service in our gym. The event was very moving one i could not get through without breaking down. Local fire fighters and police came in and lit a candle in the center of the room. There was a moment of silence and a bell was rung four times (once for each plane).
At the end of the ceremony as everyone exited with tears in their eyes we were handed an envelope. Inside each envelope was a name of a person lost on september 11th. Inside mine was the name Joseph P. Kellett along with a poem that read
"A train went through a burial gate,
A bird broke forth and sang,
and thrilled, and quivered,and shook his throat
till all the churchyard rang;

And then adjusted his little notes,
and bowed and sang again,
Doubtless, he thought it meet of him
to say goodbye to men."
-Emily Dickinson,"A train went through a burial gate"

After opening this envelope and reading the name and poem i was so touched and had felt as though i had lost a friend.
Joseph P. Kellett is a man that i will never forget for as long as i live. My heart goes out to his wife Patricia, two children Julie Anne and Cameron Marie, and his friends. You will all be in my prayers!
