Kevin was a terrific brother-in-law and friend to me. I remember Kevin and his sons meeting us at Kennedy Airport when we were on a 10-day trip to Ireland with a large group of our friends and co-workers. They escorted us through the airport playing Irish music on the bagpipes and drums. It was quite an escort to say the least and many heads turned and many hands clapped as they meandered through the terminals. Kevin had a hearty laugh and a wonderful smile - he helped me tremendously and never complained. I miss his letting me know about the new Irish band that he heard about or the new piece of equipment that he found to make his job easier, or the latest request made by one of his teenage sons. He will be missed by so many people who loved him and we will always remember.

Kevin was and will always be remembered by his fellow bandsmen as being a great guy, a good listener and dispenser of advise. He was also a terrific daddy and a fine base drummer; he kept up the beat well and loud just like a bass drummer should. The Tyrone band has added his name to our uniforms in the form of a memorial patch to be worn on our shoulders. It is a fitting tribute to his memory.
