I don't know the Stackpoles but I was moved by the courage of Mrs. Stackpole when she was interviewed and admire the family's strength. I gently smiled when I read above that Timothy went to St. Francis Prep and St. Francis College. I too went to St. Francis Prep (Class of'81) and St. Francis College (Class of '85)like Timothy. I lost my sister, Mary Yolanda Dowling in 2 WTC on 9-11 - she helped save many of her coworkers lives on the 92nd floor - she never came home. She and I shared a patron saint - St. Francis of Assisi. Since 9-11, so many former SFP and SFC graduates have helped me and my family look for Yolanda, pray for, and grieve for her. As a fellow Franciscan, I salute Timothy and pray for him and his family. God Bless You, Timothy Stackpole - "for it is in dying, that you weer born to eternal life!"

Timmy,
We know heaven is a lot brighter today with your presence because while here on earth, you brought so much sunshine into the lives of many people...

You will forever be remembered for the courageous acts you did, the love you gave, fighting the good fight, YOU NEVER-ENDING LOVE OF FAMILY and so much more.

Don't know if everyone knows this, but Timmy was honored as "Irishman of the Year" at the Coney Island Irish Festival this past year.

"Twas heaven here with you!"

Timmy was an old neighbor of mine when we were kids. My father was FDNY and I remember as a kid that Timmy would come down to our house and talk to my father about being a fireman. When I read about all he has accomplished in his career as a fireman, I felt that he really must have been MEANT to become a hero. He had wanted to be a fireman since he was a kid, and I like to feel that my father, John Lennon, is up there with him in heaven feeling very proud to have known him. I know I am; even if it was when we were children. God bless his family!

I did not know Mr. Stackpole personally, but do feel that I live in a world that was made better by him. He and his comrades are heroes in every sense of the word.
My condolences and prayers go out to his family and to his friends. I hope that you find peace amidst your terrible loss.

I would personally like to say that the Stackpole family has had a lot of courage since 9/11. I admire their stength and their will to go on.
